Urgent Need Of Books

Urgent Need Of Books: The Benoni Host Lions Club needs second-hand books urgently for their book sale, held every last Sunday of the month. Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because they share a core belief – to serve their community. Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization. We have 1.35 million members in more than 45,000 clubsin more than 206 countries and geographic areas. Lions have a dynamic history. Founded in 1917, they are best known for fighting blindness, but they also volunteer for many different kinds of community projects – including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.

“If anyone wishes to donate books that are no longer needed, we will gladly collect them for our sale tables,” said the club’s public relations officer, Gillian Bailey.  Contact David Featherston on 082 457 8211. Lions are kind and generous people who want to help. That’s why they work on projects to improve our communities and protect the environment.
