Sharks Take Down The Stormers

Sharks Take Down The Stormers: After the Stormers led 10-3 at halftime following a well-taken try by Leolin Zas, the Sharks came right back into the match when New Zealand referee Mike Fraser referred a try-scoring decision to Jonker. Sharks scrumhalf Cobus Reinach went over the line, but was denied a try by Siya Kolisi, whose foot ended up under the ball. But Jonker ruled that Kolisi had kicked the ball out of Reinach’s foot and recommended a penalty try, while Kolisi also received a yellow card. That took the scores level at 10-10, and Pietersen landed a 50-metre penalty to push the Sharks into a 13-10 lead with half-an-hour to go. The Durban side then finished off the game with a brilliant break by Springbok wing JP Pietersen, who burst through the Stormers defence and sent Joe Pietersen over in the left-hand corner. Final score was 18 to the Sharks and 13 to the Stormers.
