125 ml margarine melted
1 packet of tennis biscuits finely crushed
1 packet of pineapple jelly
110 g granadilla pulp
410 g condensed milk
250 ml castor sugar
30 ml milk
375 ml water
1 whole cinnamon stick
30 ml margarine
85 ml custard powder
5 ml nutmeg
250 ml boiling water
125 ml cold water
Custard pie with granadilla topping:  Combine the melted margarine, crushed biscuits and nutmeg.
Mix well and press the mixture into the base of a greased and lined 20 cm pie dish.
Chill in the fridge while you prepare the filling.

Dissolve the jelly in the cup of boiling water.
Add the cold water and cool to room temperature before adding the tin of condensed milk.
Add ¾ of the tin of granadilla pulp. Reserve 30 ml for the topping.
Mix well and pour over the base.

Mix the custard powder with the castor sugar, milk and water, and the cinnamon stick.
Heat over a low heat, stirring until the mixture boils and thickens.
Remove the pot from the heat and remove the cinnamon stick.

Stir in the extra margarine and mix until smooth.
Allow the mixture to stand for a few minutes to cool before stirring in the reserved granadilla pulp.
Pour the mixture over the condensed milk layer.

Allow the dish to set in the fridge before serving. Cut into slices.
Delicious with morning or afternoon tea.
