Cold Weekend Ahead: The South African Weather Service has warned Johannesburg residents to prepare for a significant drop in temperatures this weekend as a cold front prepares to sweeps in. It is reported that temperatures will drop into the teens from Friday evening and only return to the mid-twenties from Tuesday. In addition to the cold weather warning the weather service has warned of severe thunderstorms with strong winds, hail and heavy downpours over Ekurhuleni, Tshwane, Johannesburg, Mogale and Lesedi, which may lead to localised flooding. So do dress warmly this weekend.
