Ab InBev raised its offer for SABMiller

London – The world’s largest brewer Ab InBev raised its offer for SABMiller. Anheuser Busch InBev raised its original offer for SABMiller on Monday.

SABMiller is small concern nest to the giant ABInBev.  Should the bid be finalised it would enable them to control nearly a third of the world’s beer.

According to the UK takeover rules, AB InBev has until 16h00 GMT on Wednesday to launch a formal bid for SABMiller.  SABMiller can ask for an extention on the bid.

Should Ab InBev succeed it would be the largest company takeover in British history at 67 billion pounds.

SAB’s  shareholders said in a statement that they undervalued the company and declined to offer on the new offer.

Tobacco group Altria Group, which owns a large portion of SABMiller about 27 percent had already endorsed AB InBev’s last offer.
